4 Tips to Crush your goals and Grind With Purpose


As I mentioned before on previous Blogs, I do not believe in New Year's resolutions. I believe in goal evolution.

What do I mean by that?


A New Year's resolution means you have to wait until a specific day to create, think, do or react differently in some form.  We condition our minds, much like pavlov's theories that a specific day, time or event has to take place in order to evolve or move forward.  


You know, keep on waiting, waiting for the .......to change......., but did you know that change starts with non other than YOU.


The all or non mentality of waiting until,  takes away in some essence from the reality that at any given time we have the potential and choice to contribute to our personal development and begin, TODAY.


If New Year's Resolutions work for you, that is good, I challenge you than to stick to it past the New Year and call it a work in progress and continue past the beginning of the year, define your reason and purpose and crush your goals, whatever they may be.

To Give you a Head Start in the coming months, let's begin with


4 tips to Crush Your Goals and Grind With Purpose.


1. Put your Blinders on and Focus.

     Define your top goals for the year, pick the top 6 most important tasks you would like to accomplish.  Vacations, increase in income, self care, job change, project development.  It is important to be clear on what it is that you want most in order to shift your mind and laser focus on Achieving. 


2.  Make your Goals Visible.  

    Write down 3 ways that will assist you in achieving each of your goals.  What are three things you can change or work on in order to achieve what it is that you are attempting to accomplish?  When we become clear on what it is that we want and follow with a plan of action, the goals we seek become more of a reality.  What is not visible is not possible so make it a point to let it be known you are on a mission to achieve visibility. 


3. Work in Blocks of Time and Rest.  

All work and no play is well, brutal to say the least.  Burnout, lack of joy for your work, giving up on your New Year's Resolutions or being tired all the time is the result of lack of rest and the best prescription for failure.  Blocking time for specific tasks will allow you to not only work more efficiently and focused, it will also free up time for all those other things necessary for a higher quality of life.  Such as sleep, time with friends and family, self care.  


4. When Shitaky hits the fan, Celebrate. 

Things are bound to not work, failure is inevitable, and nobody is perfect, thankfully.  Embrace the fact that goals might have to be approached differently, that you may have to change your approach or plan but not your goal.  This is a time to celebrate the Shitaky in your life, so you can learn and develop what will work. Shitaky can be fertilizer for crushing your goals and potentially creating the success you wish to achieve in your life.
