On today's post, I simply want to pause and invite you to enjoy the stillness of a moment. The smile on your kids, the person sitting next to you. I want you to pick up the phone and call your mother, your father, your sister or someone you have not in a while. I want you to pause and take the time to connect with someone, to give to someone, to love someone.
I want to share with you what I have learned over 20 years of working as a nurse and in the healthcare field.
The wish of the dying has never been to have a bigger house, more money, more clothes. The wish of the dying is always to have a hand to hold, a person to sit with, a prayer, to spend time with friends and family or the staff that treats them with compassion.
I want you to pause and take the time to enjoy life.
Your business is important, your money is just as important. Your quality of life is even more important.
As I rolled my car over this weekend I can't say I thought about my business as much as I thought about my family.
I can't say I thought about my car as much as I thought about not having transportation to take my son to school, grocery shop, visit my daughter, get to work.
I can't say I thought about people who wronged or made me feel less than, as much as I thought about my kids and my family.
As I create the content I create I am more mindful of the audience I serve, the people who will read it, the hearts I can touch with my message.
I love the fact that I can wake up every day and do what I love. I get to write, publish, create content, spend time with family. I get to breathe.
This week's post is a reflection a pause in time. It is an opportunity to pause and ask yourself.
If today was my last day would I change the way I live my life, the quality of time I spend doing each task, the time I dedicate to my family and friend, would I be angry or resentful, would I be petty and criticize or would I forgive, praise, and enjoy life?
If today was my last day, How would I live my life?
Every time the answer is yes, change it and live the life You Love and Deserve.
